V1Castix Stream

Launch your own Netflix-style streaming service.

Your films and shows, under your own name, on phones, computers and TVs. Viewers subscribe, rent a title or watch free with ads, and they pay you, not a platform.

Status: The engine runs a national video-on-demand service today. The Castix edition, rebuilt for many brands at once, is live as a demo.

BeforeYour catalogue sits on YouTube or on someone else's platform. They own the viewers and set the rules.
AfterViewers sign up on your own service, under your brand, and you set the prices.

Your brand, not ours

Your name, colours and web address. Several brands can run on one installation: the two live demos share one.

Three ways to earn

Monthly subscriptions, pay-per-title rentals, or free viewing with ads, mixed in one catalogue.

Live and on demand

Stream a live event, then keep it in the catalogue for replay.

Harder to pirate

Every viewing session carries an invisible mark. If a copy leaks, the mark names the session it came from.

Who it is for: TV channels, film distributors, sports and education businesses with their own catalogue.

Try it as a viewer

Both services are live. Browse, sign in, buy a plan with the test gateway and press play.

Three ways to buy

Rent it

We run it for you, in the region you choose. You pay monthly and get support.

Run it on your servers

An annual licence to install it in your own building or cloud. Your videos never leave your network.

Own the code

You buy the full source code with documentation and a handover from the engineers who wrote it.

The technical detail

For your engineers: what it does exactly, how it is built, the numbers we measured and how it compares.

What it does

A white-label streaming platform for subscriptions, rentals and ad-supported viewing, with live channels and session protection. Rent it, run it yourself, or own the code.

V1.01

Three business models

Subscription (SVOD), rental and purchase (TVOD) and ad-supported (AVOD) in one catalogue, with a VAST ad proxy that blocks server-side request forgery.

V1.02

Live ingest

RTMP, SRT and WebRTC in; low-latency HLS and WebRTC (WHEP) out. Recording turns a live event into an MP4 for VOD.

V1.03

Adaptive transcoding

An H.264/AAC HLS ladder from 360p to 1080p that never upscales past the source.

V1.04

Multi-origin delivery

Each origin is either relayed or served through a signed redirect, so you can mix your own servers with regional CDNs and set an egress budget.

V1.05

Session protection

Encryption keys bound to the viewing session, a limit on concurrent devices and a per-session viewer watermark that deters screen recording.

V1.06

Quality of experience

One beacon per session reports startup time (p50 and p95), rebuffering and errors, so you see problems before support calls do.

V1.07

Family controls

Daily minutes, episode limits and viewing windows per profile.

V1.08

Multi-tenant live

Per-tenant API keys, stream caps, watch and embed pages, signed private streams, HMAC-signed webhooks and usage metering.

On the roadmap: commercial multi-DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) and native TV and mobile apps. The built-in forensic mark is a demonstration mark; production plugs in a commercial one behind the same interface.

How it works

  1. Ingest

Upload masters or push a live feed over RTMP, SRT or WebRTC.

  2. Package

The platform builds the adaptive ladder, encrypts segments and indexes the catalogue for search.

  3. Monetise

Set prices, plans, rentals or ad breaks per title, with local and international payment gateways.

  4. Deliver

Origins and CDNs serve each viewer; keys and watermarks follow the session.

  5. Measure

Quality, watch-hours, ingest minutes and peak viewers land in the console.

Numbers, with their method

Every figure on this site comes from a run we can repeat. Where a number is a target, it says so.

Licensing and pricing models

Prices depend on volume and deployment. We quote within two working days.

01

Hosted

Flat platform fee plus delivery bands

No per-subscriber fee. You pay for the platform and the traffic, not for your own success.

02

On-premises licence

Annual, per deployment

Runs in your data centre with support and updates included.

03

Source licence

One-off, plus maintenance

Full source, build scripts and documentation, a handover period and an optional support contract.

Questions buyers ask

Can we host it inside our own country?

Yes. On-premises and source licences exist for exactly this. The hosted service can also run in a region you choose.

Do you charge per subscriber?

No. Hosted pricing is a platform fee plus delivery. Your subscriber count is your business.

Is there DRM?

Segments are encrypted with keys tied to each viewing session, and every session carries a forensic watermark. Commercial multi-DRM is on the roadmap and will be listed here when it ships.

Can we migrate an existing catalogue?

Yes. We import catalogue metadata, artwork and masters, and keep old URLs working with redirects.

How do viewers pay?

Through Stripe with cards and wallets in nine currencies. Other payment providers plug in as adapters; tell us which one your market uses.

What does a source licence include?

The complete source, build and deploy scripts, documentation, a handover period with our engineers and an optional maintenance contract. You may modify it for your own service.

Do you provide TV and mobile apps?

The web app works on phones, tablets and TV browsers today. Native TV and mobile apps are on the roadmap.

How fast can a pilot go live?

A branded pilot on our hosting usually takes a few weeks, depending on catalogue size and payment setup.
